William Syme Bain | William Syme Bain was the son of John and Charlotte of 83 Main Street, Lumphinnans, Cowdenbeath. He served as Pte in the HLI as 45198 after previously serving in the KOSB as 30823. William enlisted in Cowdenbeath and Died of Wounds on 1 September 1917 aged 20 and rests in Coxyde Military Cemetert, near the village of Koksijde on the N396 towards De Panne. He rests with over 1600 other identified casualties. |
Robert Baxter | Possibly, Robert Baxter who served as Private 3/3977 in the Black Watch. Robert was born in Kinghorn, and enlisted in Cowdenbeath and was KIA on 13 May 1915, being remembered on Le Touret Memorial along with over 13,390 other casualties. |

William Easson | William Easson, was born in Edinburgh and enlisted in Cowdenbeath, joining the Black Watch as S/3771. He was KIA on 25 September 1918 and is remembered on the Loos Memorial along with over 20,600 other casualties whose final resting place is known only unto their God. |

David Inglis | David was born in Inverkeighing, but lived in Lumphinnans. He served as Pte 15580 in the Royal Scots and was KIA on 25 May 1916 and rests in La Clytte Military Cemetery along with over 800 other identified casualties. |

David Kinnell | David was born in Auchterderran and enlisted in Cowdenbeath. He served as A/Corporal S/6133 in the Black Watch. He was KIA on 9 May 1917 and is remembered on the Doiran Memorial in north of Greece, close to the Yugoslav border and Lake Doiran with over 2000 other casualties |
