Pte | Peter Anderson | Scot Rifles | Peter was born in Shandon, Dumbartonshire the son of John and Agnes of Stow. He enlisted in Row or Rhu. He served as Pte 27569 in the Cameronians. He died of wounds on 16 August 1917 and is rests in Brandhoek New Military Cemetery No. 3. He left a widow Mrs A T Anderson of Picken Street, Riccarton, Kilmarnock. |

Lieut | W Douglas Miller | RGA & RFC | Walter Douglas Miller was the son of the Rev. Hugh Miller, MA and his wife Annie Scott Miller of the Manse, Shandon. He served in the RGA and RFC. He was KIA on 2 October 1916 aged 24 and is remembered on Arras Flying Services Memorial along with nearly 1000 other casualties |
