Thomas E Scholey | Thomas was the son of William and Florence Scholey. He was born in 1897 in Beal and at the time of the 1901 census was living with his grandfather William Jackson a widower who was an innkeeper and grocer, while Thomas's father was a butcher. His parents later moved to The Hollies, Beal. Thomas served as Pte 91256 in the Tank Corps and died on 20 November 1917 aged 20. He is remembered at the Cambrai Memorial, Louverval. |
