Joseph Hedley Broadhead Lance Serjeant Joseph Hedley Broadhead served in the Royal Inniskillin Fusiliers as no 42256. He was the son of Cyrus Broadhead of Fairmount View, East Ardsley. He died on 21 March 1918 aged 28 and us remembered at Pozieres Memorial  
Fred Bruce Son of John and Ann Bruce of 12 Queen Street, East Ardsley. Yorkshire Regt. no 46829 died 5 October 1918 aged 20 and buried at Prospect Hill Cemetery  
Harry Broadhead Harry was the husband of Mary from 42 Queen Street, East Ardsley. Royal Engineers WR 40467 died 18 January 1919 aged 31 buried at St Michaels Churchyard East Ardsley.

Charles W Linford Son of Charles and Sarah Linford of East Ardsley. R.A. no 819642 died 13 February 1942 aged 27 and buried at Singapore Memorial  
Fred Waddington

Fred Waddington, was the son of Fred and Mary Ellen.
Fred was very active in the local community - he took choir practice in the St Michael's Church after being a longstanding member of the choir and congregation. He worked at Ardsley station with Ernie Wise, who was an office boy at the time.

Fred served as Lance Corporal 3604719 in the Border Regiment. Fred was born in Wakefield but upon enlistment gave his residence as Leeds.
Fred was serving in India and died on 30 June 1943 aged 29. He left a wife, Mildred and daughter Anne who were living at Kellet Road, Lower Wortley, Leeds.
Fred rests in Calcutta (Bhowandipore) Cemetery, Kolkata along with nearlky 900 other casualties of war - 617 being from WWII and 187 non-war burials.

Harold Wainwright Son of Horace and Edith Wainwright of Tingley, Wakefield. R.N. HMS Barham no P/JX 161150 died 25 November 1941 aged 19 and buried at Portsmouth Naval Memorial
