Harry Bowers | Harry was the son of John and Eliza Bowers of Horbury Bridge and husband of Mary Olive of Haggs Hill, Ossett. He served in the King's Own (Royal Lancaster Regt.,) as Pte., 242534. He dued on 31 October 1917 aged 30 and is remembered in New Irish Farm Cemetery |
Horace Cawthorne | Horace was the son of Frederick and Martha of Crossfield Terrace, Horbury. He served in the HLI as Pte., 242048. He died on 25 September 1917 aged 20 and he is remembered along with many others in Tyne Cot Cemetery. |
