J Adams John William Adams was the son of Adam and Ada Adams of Iron Bridge. He enlisted in Iron Bridge, the town of his birth and served as Pte 62269 in the West Yorkshire Regiment. John Died of Wounds on 25 April 1918 and rests in Mont Houn Millitary Cemetery, Le Treport.
J Armstrong John Armstrong was born in Ironbridge and enlisted in Hawick, joining the Cameron Highlanders as Pte S/11748. He was KIA on 25 September 1915 and is remembered on the Loos Memorial
F Aston Frank was the son of William and Agnes A Aston of Bodlondeb, Grove Road, Wrexham. He enlisted in Wrexham, joining the Denbigh Yeomanry as 1840, later being transferred to the KSLI as Pte 26731. He was kIA on 9 Octobr 1916 age 19 and he is remembered on the Thiepval Memorial to the Missing.
W Baugh Willliam was born in Ironbridge and also enlisted there, joining the Shropshire Light Infantry. He served as Pte 26094 and Died of Wounds on 18 August 1917 and rests in Doizinghem Military Cemetery.
W J Beddoe William John Beddoe was born in Pembroke, th son of John and Sarah. He served as Pte 16882 in the Essex Regiment. He was KIA on 30 Marh 1916 and rests in Vermelles British Cemetery
G Bradeley George was the son of Mrs Fanny Humphries of Belmont Road, Iron Bridge. He was born in Jackfield and enlisted in Iron bridge, joining the Shropshire Light Infantry as Pte 200321 and was KIA on 19 April 1918 aged 23 and is remembered on the Tyne Cot Memorial.
F Branford Frederick was a Private in the Royal Warwickshire Regiment, and served as 21324 after enlisting in Birmingham. He had previously served as 26764 in the Royal Berkshire Rgt., andwas KIA on 18 April 1817 and is remembered on the Arras Memorial.
W E Brazier William Edward Brazier was the son of Alfred and Mary Catherine of High Street, Iron Bridge. He served as 203588 in the King's Shropshire Light Infantry and Died of Wounds on 31 May 1918 and rests in Terlincthun British Cemetery, Wimille.
G Brickley George was the husband of Edith of 80 Wesley Street, Ironbridge. He served as Pte 30624 in the RFA transferring to Pte 327085. He Died of Wounds on 17 November 1918 aged 25 and rests in Madeley, St Michael's Churchyard.
G Broadhurst Possibly, George Broadhurst, son of Mr H Broadhurst of Grange Cottage, John St, Castle Fields, Shrewsbury who enlisted in Shrewsbury, joining the Grenaier Guards as Gdsn 24806 and Died of Wounds on 29 September 1916 and rests in Grove Town Cemetery, Meaulte

C Davies Cecil Davies was the son of Enoch Davies of 26 Whargate, Iron Bridge. He served as Pte 8996 in the King's Shropshire Light Infantry. Cecil was KIA on 25 April 1915 aged 27 and is remembered on the Menin Gate Memorial

E Dorricott Possibly, Ernest the son of Herbert and Hannah of Ladybarn Lane, Withington, who enlisted in Manchester, joining the Manchester Regt., as Pte 25695. He was KIA on 1 July 1916, the First Day of the 1st Battle of the Somme an like many others who died on that day is remembered on the Thiepval Memorial to the Missing.
F Drewball Frederick was the husband of Lucy of Newbrige Road, Iron Bridge. He served as pte 31983 in the KSLI and died on 14 November 1918 aged 36 and rests in Abbevilloe Communal Cemetery Extension.

W Farlow William Farlow was born in Ironbridge, the son of Mrs Ursula Farlow and husband of Lily Taplin (formerly Farlow). He enlisted in Shrewsbury. He served as Pte 8995 in the SLI and was KIA on 21 October 1917 and rests in Hooge Crater Cemetery.
E Farlow Possibly, James Edward Farlow of Ironbridge who served in the SLI as Pte 12077 and Died of Wounds on 10 July 1918 and rests in Niederzwehren Cemetery.

W Hanley William Hanley was born in Ironbridge and enlisted there. He served as Pte 32793 in the SLI and was KIA on 20 September 1917 and rests in Cement House Cemetrey. He left a widow, Lucy, later Lucy Fowler of New Road, Ironbridge.

G Hurdley George Hurdley was the son of Thomas and Elizabeth Hurdley of 3 Chapel Road, Ironbridge an brothr to John Arthur, below. George was born in Preston and enlisted in Shrewsbury. He serve as L/Cpl 10036 in the SLI and was KIA on 31 January 1915 and is remembered on the beautiful Ploegsteert Memorial guarded by two lions.
J A Hurdley John Arthur Hurdley was born in Wellington an lived in Ironbridge. He enliste in Bilston, Staffordshire, joining the KOSB as 19947. He was trasferred to the Labour Corps as Pte 22240 an Died of wounds on 24 March 1918 aged 21. He is remembered on the Pozieres Memorial.

T Nickless Thomas William was the son of Samuel and Hannah Nickless of 29 Lincoln Hill, Ironbridge. He was born in Ironbridge on 26 February 1894 an served in the Royal Navy as Stoker 1st Cl K.14764. He was serving on HMS "Acasta" when he died as a result of enemy action on 31 May 1916 and rests in Trinity Cemetery Aberdeen

H Smallman Hubert Smallman was born in St Mary's Bridgnorth and enlisted in Shrewsbury. He served as Pte 200690 in the SLI and was KIA on 5 September 1917 and rests in Calais Southern Cemetery.
J C Smallman John Charles Smallman was born in Wednesbury and also enlisted there. He served as pte 12663 in the South Staffordshire Regiment and was KIA on 10 July 1916 and is remembered on the Thiepval Memorial
A Speake Alfred Speake was born in Madely an lived in Ironbridge, enlisitng in Shrewsbury. He served in the KSLI as Pte 9226 and died of wounds on 2 March 1016. He rests in Dickebusch New Military Cemetery

P Speake Possibly, Percy Speak was born in Madely, lived in Iron Bridge and served in the Royal Warwickshire Regt., as Corporal 4036 after enlisting in Birmingham. He was KIA on 19 April 1916 an is remembered on the Basra Memorial
J Steventon John Steventon was the son of John an Sarah of Bath Road, Ironbridge. John jnr was born in Ladywood and enlisted in Ironbridge, joining the KSLI as 200640 and becoming a L/Sergeant. John was KIA on 7 June 1918 and rests in Chambrey British Cemetery.
W H Ward William Henry was born in Madely and also lived there. He the husband of Eva E Ward, later becoming Jones, of Belle Vue Road, Iron Bridge. he served as 2211, a Serjeant in the KSLI after enlisting in Ironbridge. He died 'At Home' on 25 October 1915 aged 29 and rests in Kirk Christ Lezayre (Holy Trinity) Churchyard.

A F Wilkes Arthur Ferriday Wilkes was the son of Jane Ellen Wilkes of 57 Madeley Road, Iron Bridge. He enlisted in Iron Bridge, joining the KSLI as 200629, later serving in the Sherwood Foresters as Pte 205477. He Died of Wounds on 23 May 1918 aged 23 and rests in Etaples Military Cemetery.

W Gethin Walter was the son of Robert and Alice Ann Gething and husban of Dorothy May of Smethcote. He serve as Gdsn 2736470 in the Welsh Guards and Died on 11 August 1944 aged 28. Walter rests in Bayeux War Cemetery.
R Goring Possibly, Richard Goring who served in the DLI as Corporal 4035452 and Died on 17 July 1942 and resting in Catania War Cemetery, Sicily.

R Steventon Robert was the son of Joseph an Agnes Steventon of Ironbridge. He served as Gunner 14377576 in the Royal Artillery, 91 (12th Bn. The South Staffordshire Regt.) Lt. A. A. Regt. He Died on 12 May 1944 age 19 and rests in Cassino War Cemetery.
J Wall  
F C Williams Frederick Charles was the son of Frederick Charles and Lily May Williams. He served as Sergeant 937303 in the RAFVR an was KIA on 28 June 1941 aged 20. He is remembered along with many others who served in the RAF whose final resting place is known only unto their God.
