F Brook | F Brooke, note Brooke with the 'e' was born in Nostell and enlisted in Leeds, while living in Nostell. He served as Pte., 13729 in the Cold Stream Guards. He died on 13 December 1916 and is remembered at Guillemont Road, Cemetery, Guillemont. |
F Beckett | Fred was the son of George and Ann Beckett (nee Fawcett) and in 1901 lived in Hessle and Hill Top part of the census near Wragby Grange Farm. Fred was born in Castleford and was employed as a Banker Mason. Information added by J Mills is as follows taken from Fred's Pension Record :-

H Beckett | Harry Beckitt as found on various sources, was brother to the above Fred. . He was born in Wragby and enlisted in Hemsworth into the South Wales Borderers as a Pte., no 44371. He was KIA on 5 October 1918 and is remembered at Vis-en-Artois Memorial |

D Greenfield | David Greenfield was born in Wragby and enlisted in to the West Yorkshire Regt., in Castleford. He served as Sergt., 14741. He died of wounds on 8 June 1917 age 33. He left a widow, Kate, from Glasshoughton. He lies in Lijssentheok Military Cemetery along with many other casualties |

S White | Samuel White was born in Wragby the son of Arthur and Alice of Clifton Green, York. He enlisted in York, where he joined the 1st King Edward's Horse. He served as Pte., 1277 and died on 9 April 1918 aged 26. He is remembered at Bethune Town Cemetery. |

R Hepworth | Ronald was the son of Harold and Theresa from Wragby. He served in the RAFVR as Sergt., Flight Engineer 1624606. He died on 24 March 1944 aged 19. Ronald is remembered at Parchim Cemetery along with 4 other casualties. |

W A Littlewood | Walter Acklan Littlewood was the son of Joseph and Rebecca of Nostell. He served in the RAFVR as Sergt., Flight Engineer no 1063432. He died on 31 March 1944 aged 22 and is remembered at Maubert-Fontaine Communal Cemetery in the Ardennes region. He is remembered with 6 other airmen - 3 from the RAF and 4 from the RCAF |
F Palfreyman | Frank was the son of Benjamin Joseph and Sarah Elizabeth and husband of Eva, living at Crofton. He served in the Seaforth Highlanders as Cpl., 2824360. He died on 29 December 1942 aged 25 and is remembered at Benghazi War Cemetery, Libya. He is remembered along with over 1000 identified casualties and 163 who are known only unto their God. |
A E Winn | The Hon. Anthony Edmund Winn was the son of Rowland George Winn, 3rd Baron St. Oswald and Lady St Oswald, nee Greene of Billinghurst. The family seat being Nostell Priory. Anthony served in the KRRC as Captain, 88146. He died on 26 October 1942 aged 33 and is remembered at the El Alamein War Cemetery, along with over 6000 Commonwealth Casualties. A N Allatt | Arthur Norman Allatt served in the Home Guard and lived at Hill Top Farm Cottages. He was the son of Arthur and Selina of Owlett Hall, Wragby and husband of Winifred Mary allatt. He died on 1 September 1940 aged 32 and is remembered at Hemsworth Cemetery |
E Helliwell | Ellis Helliwell was the son of Ellis and Gladys of Wragby Grange Farm. He was injured at Wragby on 1 September 1940 and was taken to Pontefract General Infirmary where he died later in the day. Ellis is buried at Pontefract Cemetery |
A Leetham | Alan was the son of William Henry and Constance Gladys Leetham of Hill Top Farm and brother to Norman (below). Alan like his elder brother served in the Home Guard and was killed on 1 September 1940 and like his brother is buried at Hemsworth Cemetery. |

A Taylor | Alfred Jarvis Malkin Taylor served as Air Raid Warden for the Wragby area. He was the son of William and Hannah of Ryhill and husband of Gladys Jane. He was killed at Hill Top Farm on 1 September 1940 aged 44 and is remembered at Hemsworth Cemetery |
